Scholarship History:
While speaking at a past Class of ’78 reunion, the late Mr. R. D. Smith, CHHS Assistant Principal from 1970 to 1980, challenged our class to start a scholarship fund. From that challenge, our trailblazing classmates Kay Ray Edwards, Joey Lovingood, Donnie Farrow and Sue Brickhouse, collaborated with CHHS administrators and the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Public School Foundation (PSF) to establish our scholarship fund.
